Before you dive in, it's important to note that this journey is a marathon, not a sprint. Becoming a successful travel agent isn't a shortcut to instant wealth; it requires patience, commitment, and effort. By fully engaging with the resources we offer and actively seeking guidance, you'll be well-equipped to succeed. As you begin on this exciting, yet rewarding, journey, here’s a simple guide to help you get started and make the most of your new role:

• Join Our GroupMe Community: First things first, please join our GroupMe. The link was sent to you in Circle as a Direct Message. This platform is essential for asking questions, connecting with other agents, and receiving updates. It’s a great space to feel supported and to share your experiences.

​

• Begin the Mandatory Orientation Course in our Membership Space, Circle: We have set up a comprehensive orientation course to guide you through the basics of travel consulting. This course is designed to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in your role. Before you start, look around and see what we have to offer!

​

• Take the Quiz: After completing the orientation course, you'll need to take and pass our quiz. This step is crucial as it ensures all our agents meet the high standards we uphold at Waiters Travel Consulting.

​

• Signing Up with Our Vendors/Suppliers: Upon successfully passing the quiz, we will review your results, and send you an email with instructions on how to sign up with our preferred vendors and suppliers. This process is streamlined to ensure you are well-prepared to start booking and managing travel arrangements effectively.

​

• Your Agent Account in Tess: We will set up your agent profile in our CRM system, Tess, to help you manage your bookings. The instructions for activation are below:

  • You will receive an email from Travel eSolutions prompting you to activate your account. 

• Click "Begin Activation!" again.

• Click "Accept Agreement."

• Create a password, then click continue.

• Click continue again for "Standard."

• Click continue again for "I will enter my credit card information at a later time."

• Click "Activate." 

 

• Complete Your W 9 Form: For tax purposes, please ensure you complete and sign the W9 we will send via Docusign. This form is required for all of our agents and is important for your financial records.
